Dude. Holy Indian cow poop. My practice last night was un-friggin'-believable. And Dolly rocked. It was crazy. I now know the secret to a strong and satisfying practice.
It's a simple formula. You practice and practice until you feel like you are not progressing anymore or are maybe struggling with something. In my case it was my quads. Dude, I couldn't get them to stop burning in crescent and warrior etc. in practice after practice the last few weeks. It was killing me which in turn was making me frustrated while practicing and normally I am pretty good at focusing. Anyway, you get to this point and then you do the following. You take a long birthday weekend and you friggin' party for three days straight. Then you take 3 - 4 days to recover (depending on your age, weight, religion and general constitution). And finally, you go practice again.
Dude, it works. It's the ticket. Last night rocked. I don't get it but I ain't questioning it. I am just all about the one week party vacation next time I hit a yoga wall. I am guessing the partying part is less important than the one week off part but dude, who cares. If you are going to take a week off, you might as well take advantage of it. I've never been one to turn down a good party anyway. Plus, if you are practicing regularly, your body can take it man so give it all you can.
